Update-Electricity worker killed in terrorist explosive device blast in Hama

Damascus, SANA – A worker affiliated to the maintenance teams of the Ministry of Electricity was killed while trying to repair damage caused to the electrical network as a result of attacks by terrorist groups in the countryside of Hama.

Mohammad Jumaa al-Ahmad was announced dead by the Ministry in a statement published on its Facebook page. He was killed while working along with team members to repair damage at a voltage line supplying power to a transmission plant in Hama.

The Ministry clarified that al-Ahmad was killed by an explosive device planted by terrorist groups to target electricity workers as they entered the repair site.

A woman injured in a terrorist attack with mortars launched by ISIS on al-Sa’an town

Meanwhile, A woman was injured in a terrorist attack with mortar shells launched by ISIS terrorists on al-Sa’an town in Hama eastern countryside.

A police source told SANA that the attack also caused material damage to the properties.
