At Least 100 people killed in armed attack in Nigeria

Abuja, SANA-Amnesty International has reported that at least 100 people were killed in an armed attack on the village of Yelwata in Benue State, north-central Nigeria.

According to Sky News, the organization stated that a group of gunmen surrounded families in their homes, opened fire on them, and set some houses ablaze with residents still inside. The attack resulted in over 100 deaths, hundreds of injuries, and dozens of missing persons.

Amnesty International has warned of the alarming rise in attacks across Benue State, urging Nigerian authorities to take immediate action to protect lives.
