The Syrian-Canadian Business Council announced the launch of its work, as a leading national entity that aims to foster further economic collaboration, stimulate investment initiatives, and expand the horizons of partnership in various fields, in a way that keeps pace with challenges, achieves sustainable development, and serves the national interest of both countries.
Vice President of the Council, Osama Al-Tabbaa, articulated in a statement to SANA reporter the importance of the business sector’s contribution to the reconstruction process in Syria, through the participation of Canadian companies in rebuilding infrastructure, supporting the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors, and encouraging investments and cooperation in the areas of sustainable development, in a way that achieves the common interest of both countries.
Al-Tabbaa went on to say, the vision of the Council’s work is focused on leadership in developing the business sector in Syria by adopting advanced methodologies that keep pace with global changes and contribute to providing an effective and attractive business environment, through which we aspire to enhance economic, commercial and investment integration with Canada, in a way that contributes to achieving the national interest for Syria, it supports the path of sustainable development and comprehensive growth.
The Council aims to carry out economic and commercial activities of public benefit that support economic and commercial cooperation between institutions and companies in Syria and their counterparts in Canada.
It is also, will work to introduce the laws and regulations related to economic, commercial and investment activity in the two countries, to shed light on all economic fields and activities in Syria.
