German Envoy to Syria: Lifting sanctions will help Syrians rebuild their country

Berlin, SANA- The German Envoy to Syria, Stefan Schneck, has welcomed the decision to lift US sanctions on Syria, emphasizing that it is a step toward helping Syrians rebuild their country and move towards a free and democratic future.

In a post on (X), Schneck stated: “Since the fall of the Assad regime, we have been pushing for the lifting of sanctions in favor of all Syrians. Key sanctions in the financial, transportation, and energy sectors were lifted last February.”

Schneck added, “We will continue working with the Syrian government to improve the business climate and attract investments, with the goal of achieving economic recovery.”
