Damascus, SANA- President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Ahmad al-Sharaa, participated on Tuesday in “Aleppo, the Key to Victory” public event held at Aleppo Citadel amphitheater, embodying the victory of the Syrian revolution and honoring the heroic fighters who contributed to the liberation of Aleppo.
President Al-Sharaa delivered a speech addressing citizens of Aleppo…
Flowing is the text of the President’s speech:
You, who wrote the lines of glory with your pure blood, wove the sails of courage from patience, and crafted necklaces of pride and dignity from the sweat of struggle.
We meet today on the rich soil of Aleppo, this city that did not bow to the wind or submit to the storm, rather, it was a fortress, a wall, and a witness to steadfastness.
In this city, the revolution was a sincere cry, born from the womb of pain, and it was carried by men who were faithful to their pledge and kept their promises, they worked in secret to achieve glory, and they had the greatest impact in the battle for liberation.
I was certain that liberating Aleppo was the key to victory, we prepared and equipped the armies, and we had never fought a war like we did for Aleppo, with our trust in God and the beginning of our forces advancing toward its walls, the enemy’s fortresses began to collapsed.
Certainly, it was a great moment in history, that moment, I saw Damascus from the walls of Aleppo Citadel.
My brothers, on this day… two years ago, I said that I see you in Aleppo as I see you now, and we do not deserve this shield unless we return to Aleppo.
From the heart of Aleppo, I declare to the world that our war with tyrants has ended, and our battle against poverty has already begun.
Dear Syrians, see how your name is once again mentioned at forums and how Syrians are now valued and respected, after having been pushed out the door, deprived of their rights and left to their fate of killing, displacement, and humiliation.
What we are witnessing in terms of support from our brothers and friends and the lifting of sanctions is not a matter of political courtesy, rather, it is a right that the Syrians have earned from the world for the sacrifices they have offered and the heroism they have achieved.
The battle for reconstruction has just begun, so let us all join hands and seek God’s help to create a bright future for a glorious country and people who deserve.
Let our slogan be as we have raised it before: We will not rest until we rebuild Syria and show it off to the entire world, with God’s help and power.
Aleppo will be the greatest economic beacon.
