Talks to reactivate Syrian-UAE Businessmen Council  

Dubai, SANA- Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer al-Khalil met on Sunday Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abdulla Bin Touq on the sidelines of Expo Dubai 2020 to discuss the most important economic matters of common interest, including the agreement  of restructuring and activating  the Syrian-UAE Businessmen Council aimed at encouraging trade exchange, investment and cooperation at the economic level between the two countries.

Al-Khalil presented the latest laws in Syria, particularly the investment one which secures an appropriate and attractive investment environment in the stage of recovery and reconstruction, and encourages investors to set up projects in all domains through offering great facilitations and privileges.

For his part, Touq voiced his country’s readiness to offer the necessary support to Syria through conveying the successful Emirati experience in the economic sector.

The meeting also touched upon the importance of medium and small projects which are the largest rate of projects in the two countries and the main support for the economy and the basic engine for it.

The importance of reviving bilateral cooperation in all economic sectors, also discussed.
