For the first time at Ibn Al-Waleed Hospital in Homs, two pacemaker surgeries were performed

Homs,SANA Ibn Al-Waleed Hospital in Homs recently conducted its first successful pacemaker surgeries on two patients, aged 68 and 80, who had been experiencing severe cardiac issues.

The patients suffered from heart block, resulting in slow heart rate, dizziness, and fainting spells.

The pacemaker operations, involving the installation of a permanent device to regulate heart rhythm, were performed free of charge at the hospital, a service that is typically costly in private hospitals.

The surgeries aim to enhance the quality of life for patients with cardiac arrhythmia, particularly those with bradyarrhythmia-related conditions.

This milestone marks a significant advancement in the hospital’s services and signifies a positive development for public healthcare in Homs, following extensive training for medical staff to facilitate such procedures.
