Amman, SANA-Royal Jordanian Airlines has officially resumed its scheduled flights to Aleppo International Airport, according to CEO Samer Majali.
As reported by Jordan’s “al-Mamlaka” TV, Majali stated that the resumption of flights from Queen Alia International Airport to Aleppo followed a successful trial flight conducted in March to assess operational readiness. He also revealed plans to restart flights to both Baghdad and Damascus in the near future.
Majali had previously indicated that the airline intends to operate three weekly flights to Aleppo, contingent upon the completion of necessary evaluations.
The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority had earlier announced the reopening of Aleppo International Airport to air traffic on March 18.
