Damascus, SANA – Syrian Airlines announced Saturday the gradual resumption of its flights, following a temporary suspension due to the security emergency that affected air traffic in the region.
“In the first phase, flights will be operated towards Kuwait, Doha, and Sharjah,” the airline posted on its Facebook page, noting that the flight operations are directly linked to developments in the current security situation. Accordingly, flight schedules are subject to change or cancellation at any time in the event of any escalation or new airspace closures.
The airline confirmed that it is currently working to reschedule the cancelled flights.
It is also pointed out that travelers need to go to the airport well in advance of their scheduled flight time, as changes may occur to take-off times according to developments, with the aim of implementing flights as much as possible, and to follow the official channels of Syrian Airlines or communicate with approved Syrian Air offices to obtain the latest updates related to flights.
