Salam: Lebanon works with international community to guarantee return of Syrian refugees

Beirut, SANA – Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, has affirmed that Lebanon continues its efforts in coordination with the international community to facilitate the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.

The Lebanese National News Agency quoted Salam as saying in a speech Tuesday during the Conference “Rebuilding Lebanon: Investment Framework and Business Opportunities”: “We are working with the international community to guarantee the safe return of Syrian refugees.”

Salam noted that the Israeli attacks destroyed infrastructure and affected the lives of the Lebanese people who steadfastly and determinedly endured, just as companies and institutions endured despite the collapse, considering that the time has come to build the state, which is one of the government’s primary missions.

Salam clarified that more than 500 weapon depots in the South have been disarmed, and security has been enhanced at Beirut Airport, pointing out that work is ongoing with diplomatic channels for Israel to stop its attacks on Lebanon and withdraw from the five points.
