Culture Minister honors two guards for protecting Syria’s National Museum against robbery at the eve of the fall of the former regime

Damascus, SANA-Minister of Culture Muhammad Yassin Saleh honored on Wednesday the two guards who protected the Syrian National Museum against a robbery process at the eve of the fall of the former regime on the 8th of December.

Minister Saleh rewarded the two guards, as they contributed to protect the National Museum and preserving Syria’s collective memory and priceless heritage.

“The new phase Syria witnessed today is based on building a culture that honors, and glorifies and restores Syria’s historical status as the cradle of civilization,” The Minister said.

He added, “The new Syria is a country that cherishes its loyal citizens and works to preserve their rights and enhance their dignity, whether in the public or private sectors.”
