Geneva – SANA-On the sidelines of the 78th session of the World Health Assembly, Minister of Health Dr. Musab al-Ali met with his counterparts, Saudi Minister Fahd al-Jalajel, Turkish minister Kemal Memişoğlu, and Bahraini Minister Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan.
The meetings focused on current global health challenges, avenues for bilateral cooperation to enhance healthcare services, and initiatives to improve public health and strengthen collaboration in the medical field.
Dr. al-Ali reaffirmed his commitment to establishing a comprehensive and sustainable healthcare system that serves all Syrians, bolsters national and global health security, and prioritizes the reconstruction and rehabilitation of healthcare infrastructure.
The 78th session of the World Health Assembly commenced Monday in Geneva under the theme “One World for Health.” The event will continue until May 27.
The assembly is the highest decision-making body of the World Health Organization, responsible for setting policies and approving the organization’s budget.
