London-SANA, A BBC investigative report has uncovered coordinated external networks operating on the platform ‘’X’’ to incite sectarianism, spread hate speech, and disseminate disinformation about the situation in Syria.
The report revealed that these campaigns target the Syrian government and specific communities, using fake and bot account, algorithmic manipulation, and recycled content falsely presented as recent fabricated narratives and synchronized posts were among the tactics used to influence public opinion.
BBC analysts over two million posts since December 8, the fall of the former regime, analyzing 400,000 of them out of 50.000 posts containing false or unverified claims against the new Syria leadership ,60% originated from account outside Syria.
