Syria signs air transport agreements with Turkish and Saudi airlines to transport Syrian pilgrims

Damascus, SANA- the Hajj and Umrah Directorate at the Ministry of Endowments signed on Thursday, contracts to transport Syrian pilgrims for the Hajj season of 1446 AH (2025 AD) with Turkish Airlines in Istanbul and Centromo Airlines in Jeddah.

The Directorate stated that the Director General of Hajj and Umrah, Mr. Muhammad Nour Araj, represented the Syrian side at the signing. The agreements were concluded to facilitate the transportation of pilgrims from Damascus International Airport to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, with the return flight to the Syrian capital from Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina.

According to the agreements, each pilgrim will be allowed to carry two bags with a total weight of up to 40 kilograms (20 kilograms per bag), in addition to providing each pilgrim with 5-liter Zamzam water bottles provided by the organizing group.
