Vienna, SANA- Syria reaffirmed commitment to boost the implementation of legal conventions related to the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Director General of the Syrian Atomic Energy Agency, Ibrahim Othman handed over the document of the Syrian Arab Republic government’s ratification on “the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management” to the IAEA Director General, Ambassador Rafael Grossi.
During the meeting, Syria renewed its commitment to cooperate with the Agency and to fulfill its obligations in light of the international conventions and joint programs.
