Aid delivered to more than 25,000 families displaced due to Turkish aggression on Afrin

Aleppo, SANA – The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) delivered on Tuesday humanitarian aid to civilians that have been displaced from Afrin area by the Turkish regime and its mercenaries and who are currently staying in Tal Rifaat area and the surrounding villages in Aleppo’s northern countryside.

A source at the Aleppo branch in SARC told SANA’s correspondent that an aid convoy provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in cooperation with SARC arrived at Tal Rfiaat and the distribution of aid among displaced families began.

The source said that the aid includes more than 10,000 wool blankets and amounts of clothing, bread, and other necessities, adding that since Friday, SARC in cooperation with the ICRC and other humanitarian organizations provided relief aid to more than 25,000 families displaced from Afrin, and work is underway to provide more aid.

The aggression carried out by the Turkish regime and its terrorists mercenaries on Afrin has displaced tens of thousands of civilians, with the number of displaced people rising drastically during the past two days after the Turkish forces and terrorists overran Afrin city.
