Superphosphate fertilizer plant in Homs resumes production with daily capacity of 350 tons

Homs, SANA – After a halt of more than two years, the superphosphate fertilizer plant in the General Fertilizer Company (GFC) in Homs resumed production with a capacity of 350 tons per day.

Industry Minister Ahmad al-Hamo affirmed during a tour of the plant that resuming production in the plant came after securing the raw materials needed for it, hailing the efforts of all employees of the company and their insistence to stay in their company to provide the needs of the farmers.

He pointed out to the importance of producing this type of fertilizer during this period of the year, which coincides with the start of the agricultural season as all kinds of crops need this type of fertilizer, stressing that the second line of the plant will take off during the next month.

The superphosphate fertilizer plant produces 20 tons of fertilizer per hour and the load will be gradually increased to reach 25 tons.
