Putin discusses with Russian Security Council situation in Syria and relations with NATO

Moscow, SANA-Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the Russian Security Council members a number of issues related to the situation in Syria, relations with North Atlantic Treaty Organization(NATO) and confidence building in the skies over the Baltic region.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the meeting discussed confidence-building measures in the skies over the Baltic region, the coming possible contacts within the NATO-Russia Council framework and the situation in Syria.

Peskov pointed out that NATO’s expansionist policy once again highlights the aggressive nature of this organization, adding that this approach does not contribute in any way to enhance the security of NATO members and even lead to an escalation of tension, mainly in Europe.
