Mikdad: Syria’s cooperation with the OPCW is continuous

The Hague, SANA – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad discussed on Thursday with
Director-General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Ahmat Uzumcu the current
cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting took place at the sideline of the Twentieth Session of the Conference of States Parties (CSP-20) in
The Hague.

Dr. Mikdad briefed Uzumcu on the efforts exerted by Syria regarding its commitment to the OPCW agreement,
stressing Syria’s keenness on carrying out its duties in this regards.

For his part, Uzumcu expressed his gratitude for the Syrian government for meeting its commitments, adding that
what had been done is a historic accomplishment and success for both Syria and the OPCW.
