14,000 non- food packages distributed to terrorism-affected people in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA – A relief sub-committee in the northeastern Hasaka province distributed last week 14,000 non- food packages provided by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees(UNHCR) to families affected by terrorism.

Issam al-Hussein, Director of the Social Affairs Department in Hasaka, told SANA reporter that the aid was distributed to people affected by terrorism in al-Hasaka city as well as Iraqi refugees staying at Ain al-Khadra camp in al-Malekiyeh city.

Last month, 51 thousand non-food packages provided by UNHCR entered across Nuseibeen crossing border to be distributed to families affected by terrorism in the province.
