Damascus/Damascus Countryside, SANA- A civilian was killed and eight others were injured in terrorist attacks with mortar shells on al-Mazzeh and Bab Touma neighborhoods in Damascus on Saturday.
A police source told SANA reporter that two shells fell in al-Mazzeh, injuring five civilians.
Another shell fell in the area surrounding Bab Touma ancient square in old Damascus, injuring four civilians and causing material damage to properties.
A medical source at al-Mouasat Hospital confirmed that they received five civilians wounded by shrapnel from shells, one of them died later of his wounds.
Terrorist organizations targeted Bab Touma and Ush al-Warwar residential neighborhoods with three shells last Wednesday, injuring 10 civilians and causing material damage to a number of houses.
In Damascus countryside, four civilians were injured in terrorist attacks with mortar shells on Harasta highway and al-Wafideen Camp on Saturday.
A source at the Police Command told SANA reporter that three mortar shells fired by terrorists fell on Harasta highway near the Water Resources building, injuring four civilians.
Four other mortar shells fell in al-Iskan suburb and the entrance of al-Wafideen Camp to the north east of Damascus, causing material damage.
