Damascus, SANA – The first flight of the Emirati airline ‘’Flydubai’’ landed at Damascus International Airport on Sunday, after a hiatus that lasted for years.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport announced via its Telegram channel that Flydubai has begun operating direct flights from Dubai to Damascus, as part of strengthening regional connectivity, after meeting all operational standards for Damascus International Airport, in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
The authority noted that the flight was received by the UAE Ambassador to Syria, Hassan Ahmed Al Shehhi, who was accompanied by an official delegation, as well as the Deputy Chairman of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, Abdul Bari Al Saj.
