Syrian-Turkish talks on advancing educational cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Syria and Turkey discussed ways of bolstering educational relations and joint cooperation between the two countries, in support of the reconstruction of education sector in Syria.

That came during a meeting between Directors of Central Administration at Education Ministry and a delegation of Turkish Education Ministry.

During a meeting held at the ministry’s building in Damascus, the two sides underscored the importance of current state of school curricula and ways of developing them, the restoration of destroyed schools, and facilitating equivalency of certificates of Syrian students returning from Turkey, in addition to exchange expertise.

The Ministry’s Director of Planning and International Cooperation, Yousef Annan, highlighted the importance of forming a committee comprising representatives of the directorates to exchange expertise and benefit from Turkey’s experience in vocational education.
