Return of 64 displaced families from Jordanian Refugee Camps to homeland in Daraa

Daraa, SANA- As a part of an initiative led by “Farah Wakef” Foundation supported by Dr. Rahif Hakmi, and in coordination with Syrian and Jordanian authorities, Nassib border crossing in Daraa city received Monday a convoy of 64 displaced families returning from Emirati-Jordanian camp in Jordan.

The number of people returning to al-Sanamein city and its vicinity has reached to 350, according to Yahya al-Rifai, a representative of Farah wakef team in Syria.

“This voluntary return is the 14th in Syria and the first one from Jordan, as it is just the beginning until returning the last displaced, al-Rifai told SANA in a statement.

He expressed gratitude to the concerned authorities in Syria, Jordan, and UAE for the facilitations they provided, particularly with regard to the speedy procedures related to transporting furniture and luggage.

A number of displaced expressed their happiness upon returning to homeland after 14 years of forced displacement, hailing facilitations provided by both Syrian and Jordanian sides.
