Norwegian Foreign Minister: The government of president al-Sharaa and the Syrian people must be given the opportunity to rebuild Syria

Oslo, SANA-Norwegian Foreign Minister ,Espen Barth Eide, welcomed the European Union’s decision to lift economic sanctions on Syria.

In a post on Platform X, Eide stated that his country supports the EU’s decision to lift economic sanctions on Syria, a move that Norway has backed for a long time.

He emphasized that “The government of President Ahmad al-Sharaa and the Syrian people must be given the opportunity to rebuild and unify Syria.”
