A delegation of Syrian Turkmen residing in Turkey visits Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA-A delegation of Syrian Turkmen residing in Turkey visited the areas of al-Bayr, al-Bujaq, and Qastal Maaf in the northern Lattakia countryside.

The visit aims to boost relations between the Syrian and Turkish peoples and share the joy of Syria’s liberation and the return of residents to their homes after the displacement and suffering they endured as a result of the crimes of the former regime.

The 50-person delegation was headed by Mr. Muhammad Shandar, honorary head of the Syrian Turkmen and Special Advisor to the Turkish Presidency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Syrian and Iraqi Turkmen Affairs.

The visit, which was coordinated with the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, included prayers at the al-Rahman Mosque in the Ali Jamal neighborhood of Lattakia, followed by a meeting with residents to hear their demands.

The delegation members emphasized the need to support the state in its efforts to establish security and safety and ensure a dignified life for all Syrians.

They also affirmed the need to develop programs to rebuild infrastructure and address the severe damage to the villages of Jabal Turkmen, particularly in the areas of Bayer and Boujaq.

In a statement to a SANA reporter, Shandar reiterated Turkey’s support for Syria in its efforts to build a future filled with goodness, happiness, and prosperity.

For his part, delegation member Omar Gran, from Qastal Maaf town, expressed his happiness at returning to his homeland, Syria, after leaving it in 2018, calling on all Syrians in Turkey to return and participate in rebuilding the new Syria.
