Syria, UNDP discuss ways to support housing sector

Damascus, SANA- Syria and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) discussed Monday means of bolstering cooperation between the two sides.

That came during a meeting brought together Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Mustafa Abdul Razzaq, and a delegation of “UNDP” at the ministry’s building in Damascus Governorate.

The meeting touched on the means to develop housing sector as well planning standards that should be implemented in a way that would achieve gradual recovery.

Minister Abdul Razzaq highlighted the necessity to provide the training centers with technical support, stressing the importance of integrating the work of various public and private institutions.

In turn, Local Governance and Services Program of UNDP in Syria, Dr. Hala Rizk, underscored the importance of partnership with local community to ensure fairness and enable the community to gradually recover.
