“The national State and challenges of terrorism” in a symposium of the Arab Writers’ Union

Damascus,SANA-Combating terrorism and maintaining unity between society and the State was the focus of a symposium hosted by the meeting of Arab writers, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab Writers Union in Damascus.

Palestinian researcher Rashad Abu Shawar said that Syria is being targeted for its strong defense of Palestine and its steadfast stance.

Nasser Rahamneh from Jordan added that the State needs the support of society to succeed because the formation of the superstructure and infrastructure is necessary to consolidate national unity.

Zuhair Al-Zawadi from Tunisia stressed the importance of unity between society and the State in dealing with intellectual and political terrorism.

Jihad Banout from Lebanon highlighted the need to adhere to the national identity and to form an intellectual and historical bloc.

Egyptian researcher Gamal Zahran explained the need for solidarity with Syria, which has always defended major Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause.
