Pushilin: There were Foreign mercenaries among those who surrendered at Azovstal

Donetsk, SANA- President of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin has affirmed the presence of foreign mercenaries among the Ukrainian Nazis who surrendered after Russian forces besieged them at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

“According to preliminary information, there were foreign mercenaries,” Pushilin said in a statement to Soloviev Live T.V., in response to a question about the presence of foreigners among the Nazis who surrendered at Azovstal, noting that after the work of specialists, there will be information to be disclosed.

Pushilin added that six militants were killed in Azovstal while trying to detonate ammunition depots before seizing them.

On Friday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the end of the operation to liberate Mariupol after the surrender of Ukrainian forces and Nazi extremists at the Azovstal plant.
