Al-Moallem, Ri Su Yong discuss exerted efforts for facing hegemony attempts, economic terrorism  

Pyongyang, SANA  –In framework of his visit to the DPRK capital city of  Pyongyang, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem on Wednesday met Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Director of the WPK International Affairs Department (IAD) Ri Su Yong.

The two sides discussed means to further invigorate the solid relations between the two countries and the efforts exerted by the two countries to stand in the face of the attempts to impose hegemony and the economic terrorism as well as the unilateral economic measures imposed on both countries.

Viewpoints converged on the importance of enhancing bilateral relations in all spheres and the necessity of pushing forwards the relations between the al-Baath Arab Socialist Party and the WPK, and exchanging visits on different levels, in addition to continuing the support between the two countries at the international forums.

The two sides also agreed on holding the upcoming meeting of the Syrian-Korean Joint Economic Committee in Damascus during the current year.

The meeting was attended by high-ranking Syrian and Korean officials.
