Nada Development Association holds art exhibition about gender-based violence

Damascus, SANA – Nada Development Association will hold an art exhibition that focuses on anti-GBV (gender-based violence) issues as part of a 16-day campaign that will be held from November 25th till December 10th.

The anti-GBV program coordinator at the association Ghofran al-Nawfi confirmed that the participation in the gallery is still open for all everyone above the age of 10 and the beneficiaries of the association, adding that they will continue to receive paintings for the exhibition till the end of November.

Al-Nawfi said that the paintings will be displayed on December 12th and 13th in Khan Asaad Basha, pointing out that the campaign includes a lot of activities about anti-GBV that aim at raising awareness of these issues so that individuals could protect themselves and go to the centers that provide services in the case of exposure to violence.

The campaign’s start date, November 25th, coincides with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
