Beijing, SANA- Syrian athlete Majd-Eddin Ghazal won on Wednesday the gold medal in the high jump in China’s Open Championship within Diamond League and World Challenge competition with a 236 cm jump.
Last June, Ghazal registered 229 cm jump in Asian Athletics Grand Prix held in Thailand.
Ghazal’s participation in China’s Open Championship is part of the preparation to participate in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in Brazil 2016.
