Aleppo, SANA – An army unit seized a truck loaded with 3.5 tons of ammonium nitrate, a highly explosive substance, on Athrya-Khanaser road on the border between Aleppo and Hama provinces.
The car, which was headed towards terrorist groups affiliated to ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra, was seized as it was moving in the area between Tabbaret al-Sakhabeh and Mraghah hill, according to a military source.
The source told SANA that the car was also transporting two machine guns (7mm and 12 mm), noting that the driver was arrested.
There are army units positioned in the area to keep Athrya-Khanaser road secure as it is the only supply line to Aleppo city that links it with the other provinces.
