Hama, SANA-The General Establishment for Drinking Water in Hama has launched a project to rehabilitate the main well in the town of Qalaat al-Madiq, aiming to provide drinking water for 5,000 families. This initiative reflects the collaborative efforts between official institutions and the local community.
Eng.Majida Faraj, Head of al-Suqaylabiyah Water Unit, stated to SANA that the project includes the installation of a new submersible pump to ensure efficient water delivery, replacement of pipelines, and renovation of the pumping station to enhance operation and maintenance processes.
Faraj emphasized the well’s importance as a primary source of water for various neighborhoods in Qalaat al-Madiq. With a production capacity of approximately 60 cubic meters per hour, it stands as the highest-yielding among the town’s four wells.
