Daraa, SANA-The Daraa City Council has launched a campaign to remove symbols and slogans associated with the defunct regime from the facades of government buildings, public arches, and squares. The initiative aims to improve the city’s visual landscape and enhance its aesthetic appeal.
Council Chairman, Eng. Mohammad Ayyash, explained that this initiative is part of a broader urban development plan. He noted that the Directorate of Public Works has also begun rehabilitating the sidewalk adjacent to the municipal stadium near the Directorate of Real Estate interests, with the goal of improving public services and facilitating pedestrian movement in key areas.
He emphasized that the work is being carried out based on carefully studied priorities, focusing on the most affected and heavily used sites, and in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure adherence to required technical standards.
