London, SANA-Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rahman Turko met Wednesday with a delegation from the Syrian community in Britain with expertise in the educational field.
This meeting is, on the sidelines of the Education World Forum (EWF 2025) held in London, part of efforts to boost partnerships with Syrians abroad.
It addressed the reality of education in Syria and the challenges facing the sector in light of the exceptional circumstances.
Minister Turko highlighted the ministry’s priorities for advancing the educational process, including expanding educational opportunities, supporting teaching staff, developing curricula, and improving school infrastructure.
He stressed the important role of Syrian communities abroad in supporting educational initiatives, providing resources, and leveraging global expertise to build a generation that can contribute to the country’s reconstruction.
For their part, the delegation members expressed their willingness to cooperate with the ministry and provide support, affirming that education is the fundamental pillar for rebuilding the future of Syria.
