Sweida, SANA-Dr. Mustafa al-Bakkour, Governor of Sweida, visited Tuesday a number of guesthouses belonging to prominent families in Sweida city, including Al Abu Assali, Muzher, Radwan, Naim, Jarabou, and Abu Al-Fadl families.
Discussions primarily focused on national issues in detail, emphasizing the rejection of inflammatory religious discourse, the consolidation of security and safety, building trust with the state, economic advancement, and expediting the activation of judicial police. Participants underscored the importance of Syria’s unity, both land and people.
The Governor provided an overview of the political and social situation prior to the fall of the ousted regime, which he stated left a heavy legacy and a dilapidated state. He affirmed that the leadership’s direction is a balanced reformist one, acknowledging the existence of some negative actions, transgressions, and violations, which are being addressed.
The Governor stated that to build Syria, everyone must participate in forming the state, as the state is everyone’s responsibility. He stressed the necessity of concerted efforts to advance the governorate in all aspects, adding that the leadership gives full attention to construction and prosperity in the governorate.
