Syrian-Cypriot talks to upgrade joint cooperation in transport field

Damascus, SANA-Transport Minister Dr. Yarub Badr discussed with Cypriot Ambassador to Syria Michael Haji kero ways of cooperation between the two countries in the transportation sector.

Minister Badr emphasized the importance of developing railways, sustainable transportation, digital transformation, and traffic safety in Syria, reviewing future plans for developing road projects and the ministry’s vision for railway development.

For his part, the Cypriot ambassador said that this visit comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and exploring ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of transportation to serve the interests of both peoples.

The ambassador stressed his country’s readiness to provide technical and in-kind support.
Furthermore, the two sides stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations to serve the interests of the Syrian and Cypriot peoples.
