Syria, Venezuela discuss means to boost relations in all fields

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela for Asia, Middle East and Oceania Tatiana Pugh Moreno and the accompanying delegation Which visits Syria on the occasion of the resumption of the Venezuelan airline between Caracas and Damascus.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations between the two countries and the two friendly peoples, whose solid foundations were built by President Bashar al-Assad, the late leader Hugo Chávez, and later President Nicolás Maduro, and the importance of enhancing and developing them in all fields.

Minister Mikdad stressed the need to follow up on coordination between the two sides to address common challenges stemming from the attempts of Western countries to interfere in the internal affairs of independent countries and impose their dictates on them.

Mikdad reiterated Syria’s support for Venezuela.

Mikdad said that the US practices, that is stealing Syrian oil، are the same that it is doing in Venezuela in an attempt to control Venezuelan oil resources.

In turn, Moreno affirmed that resumption of the Venezuelan national airline’s flight to Damascus will constitute a new introduction to follow up on the development of bilateral relations and social ties between peoples of the two countries.

Syria and Venezuela stand by justice and respect for the sovereignty of states to reach a new world in which peace prevails, and the victory of Syria and Venezuela is a victory for all peoples of the world, Moreno added.
