Syria, Sultanate of Oman discuss ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation

Muscat, SANA- Syria and the Sultanate of Oman have discussed the relations of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and ways to boost them.

That came during a meeting between Syrian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Idris Mayya Chairman of the Omani Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rida Juma Al Saleh.

Referring to the decision of the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammad Samer al-Khalil on forming the Syrian-Omani Business Council, Ambassador Mayya said that this decision would push the economic cooperation between the two countries forward.

For his part, Al Saleh welcomed the decision of the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, stressing the strong desire of the Omani Chamber of Commerce and Industry to enhance economic cooperation with Syria.

He underscored the need to make good use of the opportunities and capabilities available in both countries in this important field.
