Iran calls for international cooperation to resolve crisis in Syria

Tehran, SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif urged key international players to cooperate for finding a peaceful and political solution to the crisis in Syria.

IRNA news agency said on Thursday that Zarif affirmed during his meeting with the UN envoy to Syria Staffan De Mistura that Iran’s political principle about the crisis is that it is the Syrian people’s right to determine their own future.

He added that Iran is still committed to playing a constructive role and will support the United Nations’ efforts for solving the crisis.

“We are excepting positive cooperation from key international players in the course of preserving Syrian national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as finding a political solution to the crisis in it,” Zarif said.
