Pakistani atomic scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan dies at 85

Islamabad, SANA- Pakistani nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan has died at 85, according to Pakistani media outlets.

Pakistan’s BTV television station reported that Khan died after being transferred to the hospital with lung problems.

“Deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan…. He helped us develop nation-saving nuclear deterrence, and a grateful nation will never forget his services in this regard,” President of Pakistan Arif Alvi said.
