Worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeds 3 million and 803 thousand

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of 3 million and 803 thousand people worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website which tracks the latest developments of the virus.

The website added that the total number of the coronavirus infections worldwide has reached up to 176,228,232 till now, while the deaths have climbed to 3,803,547 and the recoveries have amounted to 160,228,887.

The US still on top of the worst-hit countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths after recording 614,982 fatalities out of 34,312,504 infections, while India comes in the second place with 367,577 deaths out of 28,996,949 infections.

Brazil comes in the third place with 484, 350 deaths out of 17,301,220 infections.
