Cinema at Home initiative encourages citizens to stay at home to face Coronavirus pandemic

Damascus, SANA- The General Establishment for Cinema launched “The Cinema at Home” initiative in framework of its response to the preventive measure from Coronavirus and to encourage the citizens to stay at home and watch a number of its modern movies at home for free.

The initiative, which was launched by Vimeo platform, will screen two films which are “(The Sky’s road” by director Joud Said and “Amina” by director Ayman Zidan.

The Establishment said, in a statement, that its step came in line with the precautionary measure to face the Coronavirus.

Director General of the General Establishment for Cinema Murad Shahin said, in a press statement, that the initiative came in response to the government’s directives and the decisions of the Cabinet regarding the necessity of taking all required preventive measures to prevent spread of Coronavirus, its keenness on the safety and protection of the citizens and to facilitate their staying at home .

The two films will be screend for a week, the Establishment said.
