Heavy rainfalls expected over coastal region, snow over the mountains

Damascus, SANA- The weather will continue to be cloudy to cloudy and rainy and the temperatures will remain below average in general as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern wet air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the rainfalls will be heavy in the coastal areas region and snow will fall over the high mountains, warning against the torrents in the valleys and the slopes.

The wind will be southwesterly with a low to moderate speed and it will become active sometimes while the sea waves will be medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 10/6, Daraa 13/4, Sweida 10/5, Homs 9/5, Lattakia 14/10, Aleppo 9/6 and Deir Ezzor 13/7.
