Syrian film “The Father” harvests Best Scenario Award at Tehran Film Festival

Tehran, SANA- Syrian long feature film “The Father” by director Bassel al-Khatib on Friday evening won the Best Scenario Award at the conclusion of the Resistance International Film Festival in Tehran.

The film is co-written by Bassel al-Khatib and his brother Waddah al-Khatib, and it is produced by the General Establishment for Cinema.

Director-General of the General Establishment for Cinema Murad Shahin was honored at the closing ceremony of the festival for the efforts exerted by the establishment for producing films committed to the resistance mentality.

Syrian elite actress Salama al-Masri was also honored for her role in the film “The Remnant”.
