Syria harvests gold and silver medals at Al Amal Table Tennis Championship

Amman, SANA- Syrian team for table tennis harvested a gold medal and a silver medal at Al Amal International Table Tennis U 12 Championship which concluded activities on Friday evening in the Jordanian capital of Amman.

18 male and female players participated in the championship representing the teams of Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.

Syrian promising player Hind Zaza won the gold medal after she ranked first in the Championship as she won six matches 3-0 in female category while Syrian player Abdullah Hajaj, 9 years old, ranked second in male category winning the silver medal.

In a statement to SANA, Coach of the Syrian team Adham Jum’an said that the results achieved in the first external participation in 2018 are considered as an important achievement and a new starting point that will raise the morale of the other categories to exert more effort.
