Damascus, SANA-Embassies of Indonesia and the Philippines in Damascus organized a friendly bowling competition on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at the Damschino Mall complex in the Kafr Sousa region of Damascus.
The Indonesian Ambassador in Damascus, Wajid Fawzi, wished that this friendly meeting would enhance relations and friendship between the peoples of Asian countries and Syria.
He added that ASEAN countries have kept security and stability in the region through merging values among their societies through respect to the countries’ sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Chargé d’ affairs of the Philippine Embassy in Damascus, Feda Soraya Verzosa, expressed her appreciation for the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of challenges and difficulties.
Ziad Zahre al-Din of Syrian Foreign Ministry, for his part, said that sport event expresses good relation with ASEAN countries, noting to the importance of benefiting from this experience.
