Damascus, SANA-Delegated by President Bashar al-Assad, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij visited on Wednesday injured army personnel in Tishreen Military Hospital in Damascus on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Al-Freij conveyed to the injured army members President al-Assad’s congratulations on the Eid, wishing them a quick recovery.

The minister expressed pride in the heroic deeds of the Syrian army, hailing the great sacrifices of the Syrian soldiers in the fight against terrorist organizations.

The injured army personnel, for their part, said they are eager to return to the battlefield once they recover from their injuries.

On the same occasion, field commanders visited tombs of martyrs and injured army personnel in military hospitals.
