Syria, India discuss cooperation in higher education and scientific research

Damascus, SANA- Higher Education Minister Mohammad Amer Mardini discussed on Tuesday with Indian Ambassador in Damascus Man Mohan Bhanot cooperation between the two countries in higher education and scientific research.

The Minister affirmed the necessity of enhancing bilateral relations in all fields, particularly scientific research and exchanging scholarships between the universities of Syria and India, hailing India’s position in supporting the Syrian government and people.

In turn, the Ambassador expressed hopes for developing cooperation between the two countries in the education sector through the institutional capacity-building program, graduate programs, and long-term training courses.

The two sides also discussed the programs for training courses grants offered by the Indian side and prospects for using them to support the technological and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
